What is the white chalky substance in the bottem of my rabbits cage?
I was cleaning out my rabbits cage the other day and i found this white chalky substance. So i washed it off and now it is there again today. What should i do i am starting to get worried, she is a 3 month old rex rabbit.
It’s ok, it’s the calcium in her urine- when the urine dries it leaves a white residue. No need to worry. You can clean it with straight white vinegar to keep it from building up every once in a while, otherwise you’ll end up with a thick flaky coating in places she prefers to urinate.
