Tips on training Sun Conures?
My sun conure is nearing 11 months now and I still can’t get him to talk. I talk to him very calmly every day and he still won’t say something as simple as hello. Is there any good method of training? Or do you simply keep repeating the word? Not only talking. What about other tricks. That isn’t too hard (I use a peanut to guide him) but any tips on other simple tricks like wave? I really need help.
My reason for getting a bird wasn’t so it would talk. I am not going to abandon my bird and get a new one just because it won’t talk. I just thought it would be cool.
Teaching a bird to talk is sometimes difficult or impossible because some birds want to talk and some don’t. Even African Greys (which are usually very good talkers) sometimes don’t talk.
