Hi, there. I would try environmental changes. Examine the bird’s skin with a magnifying glass for mites (just to be sure). Treat as necessary. Give your bird puzzle toys with food inside. These are very intelligent birds. Rotate his toys. Make foraging toys like treats in small boxes to open, food in wax paper with twisted ends, plastic Easter eggs filled with a toy. You can brainstorm a lot of things. Foraging is natural and engaging. Showers or baths are great for the skin and feathers. Warm soothing water.Move his perch to engage with socialization with your human flock. let him rip up adding machine refills, empty toilet paper rolls. Play music or the TV so the bird can watch. Pluck No More or I think it’s called Parrot Stress Control (which is cheaper and I believe the same thing) has belladonna that might mellow your bird out a bit. Some are against drugging animals. I think as a last resort, it’s worth a try. Use a humidifier in the area of the bird. Give your guy a pellet diet, 10% fruits and veggies, 10% seeds. Some people use canned salmon 3 times a week and claim the oils(omega3) arrest the plucking. It’s cheaper than salmon oil. Well, I really hope this problem gets resolved soon. Best wishes.
