Why do parrots talk and not other animals?
Parrots have no vocal cords, so the sound is carried by air through expulsion of the mouth of the bifurcated trachea. Different sounds are produced by changing the depth and shape of the trachea. So, talking parrots are really whistling in different ways. Congo African Grey Parrots (CAG) are well known for their ability to "talk", which can be caused by more control, stronger or trachea. But that does not mean that a Cockatiel (nymphs are not well known for their capacity), could have a larger vocabulary of an African Parrot. Grey parrots are talking probably most famous for his ability to imitate different sounds they hear. If you were in the room with his eyes closed, you may find it difficult to distinguish the difference between a parrot "hello" and "hello" from a human. Unlike humans, parrots do not have vocal cords. Instead, learn to control the movement of the muscles of the throat to direct the flow of air in such a way as to reproduce certain tones and sounds and sometimes even human sounds. There is no doubt that some parrots show signs of intelligence. However, it is important to understand that these birds to imitate do not quite understand what they are saying. Parrots just repeat sounds they have been taught. Talking to a parrot is basically like talking to a recorder or a Furby doll. (And even then, you never know if a parrot to talk again.) The Fact is, even though some birds can be "trained" to do certain things, can not reason or have real conversations, similar to human.
